Act 1: Petite and Milieu Fleurs grace the stage in Carnival of the Animals where lions roar, elephants prance, and foxes and hens do their super-fast dance. Fish twirl and swish, while peacocks dance delish, and kangaroos bounce to the beat. Swans and cuckoos show of their beautiful plums in Camille Saint-Saens exquisite etude.
Interlude: Fleur-De-Lis is very proud to present their first showing of Fleur-De-Lis Academy of Dance in a sample of tap, jazz, and pas de deux pieces.
Act 2: Emotional Etudes. In Fleur-De-Lis' first ever Student Company performance dancers embody 6 muses: Hope, Experience, Purpose, Questioning, Illusion, and the Mystery of Love in an abstract journey of what it takes to create a fulfilling life and the highs and lows needed to experience unity.
SCENE at the Center, our small plates eatery, offers bar and food service two hours prior to most performances in Whitney Hall and the Bomhard Theater. Kitchen service ends as the curtain rises, but beverage service will continue throughout the performances and extend through midnight on Friday and Saturday nights.
